Abstrak
Raw material inventory control is a critical operational factor for small and medium manufacturing enterprises to maximize production efficiency and minimize carrying costs. This research analyzes raw material inventory optimization at CV Sidomulyo in Palu City using the Linear Programming Simplex Method. The model formulates objective functions for cost minimization subject to constraints including warehouse capacity, supplier lead times, and fluctuating market demand. The results indicate that implementing linear programming reduces inventory holding costs significantly compared to traditional intuition-based ordering.

In manufacturing operations, maintaining an optimal balance between holding costs and stockout risks directly impacts enterprise profitability. CV Sidomulyo, a manufacturing company in Palu City, experienced cost inefficiencies due to unscientific raw material inventory purchasing patterns. Research Approach & Results: Using quantitative optimization modeling via Linear Programming (Simplex Method) assisted by QM/POM software: 1. Optimal Order Quantities were calculated for primary raw materials to prevent overstocking. 2. Safety stock levels and reorder points were established to buffer against supply chain disruptions in Central Sulawesi. 3. Total inventory management costs were reduced by over 18% while meeting 100% of customer delivery schedules.
